What is corrosion and thickness-loss tracking?

Tracking corrosion means measuring, over time, the thinning of an asset's walls, tanks, piping, vessels, heat exchangers, and spotting the defects: pitting, localised corrosion, zones already repaired. These measurements come from non-destructive testing, most often ultrasonic thickness readings taken by specialised service providers.

What moving from PDF to history looks like

Take an asset base whose inspection is well run, but whose thickness readings live in PDFs, campaign after campaign, often across several providers. Each report is fine on its own, but no one easily sees how a specific point has evolved over five or ten years.

Every value is linked to the right asset, with a validated identity, never guessed, and stays tied to its source PDF. It adds no data of its own: it reads only what your reports actually contain.

Does the software calculate remaining life?

No. Lucens Integrity does not calculate remaining life and does not produce a full RBI study. It builds a thickness history per asset and compares campaigns year over year to make the trend visible. Interpreting those trends and computing mechanical fitness for service remain the responsibility of your inspectors and your applicable codes.

Does it replace an online corrosion-sensor system?

No. A sensor system measures corrosion continuously, at instrumented points. Lucens Integrity measures nothing: it reads the inspection reports already produced, whatever the provider, and rebuilds the history per asset. The two approaches are complementary. One generates measurements; the other gathers them and makes them comparable over time.

Does Lucens Integrity read ultrasonic thickness readings?
